We are proud to partner with the All of Us Research Program, a historic program from the National Institute of Health! All of Us Research Program is working toward ensuring that our community is included in research studies that may lead to better treatments and cures. In order to develop personalized plans for disease prevention and treatment, researchers want to learn about the differences that make us unique. |

what is the all of us research program?
As part of the National Institute of Health (NIH), the All of Us Research Program aims to accelerate precision medicine research. Precision medicine is an emerging approach for disease treatment and prevention that considers individual variability in lifestyle, environment and biological makeup. AANHPIs are one of the fastest growing populations in the United States, yet their absence in research is troubling when it comes to treatment development. The goal of the AoURP is to ensure that our community is included in research studies that may lead to better treatments and cures.

How precision medicine impacts usPrecision medicine is an emerging approach for disease treatment and prevention that considers individual variability in lifestyle, environment and biological makeup. In other words, developing an individualized treatment and prevention plan while considering not only your biology but the social determinants of health that play a role in your health. The social determinants of health are external factors, like neighborhood, education and economic stability, that can greatly impact your health outcomes.
Previous research suggests that about 30% to 55% of health outcomes are effected by social determinants of health such as neighborhood safety, access to food, experiences with health care, discrimination, and daily work and living environments. |
The future of health research needs you!
Be a part of change in the future of medication and advanced treatment for the future generation. In the past, we have seen people of color communities get left out of research and the creation of new treatment. You can help change that. With new medication constantly coming out, you never know if the medication being prescribed to you will have any negative effects especially if you are not represented in the research. |
Learn more about your healthTake the opportunity to learn more and take control over your own health by getting FREE DNA results from enrolling in the program.
By getting your DNA results, you can get information about your ancestry, any hereditary disease risks (like Wilson’s disease or any cardiovascular disease) and any genetic traits and their reactions to different drugs. |
engagement forums
Engagement Forums will go in depth into how the program works, why you should enroll, and will be a space to address any burning questions or concerns you have about the program!
